About Leo A. Nefiodow
Biography
Leo A. Nefiodow, born 1939, is one of the best known experts of the
theory of long waves and one of the most distinguised German experts on
the information society.
Since 1965 he is in a key position in research and development and
worked as an advisor to the German Federal Ministry of Research and
Technology, several German state governments, international
organizations and industry. In 2004 he was a member of the working
groupe „Our Future Economy“ of the Club of Rome. One of his main topics
is future research.
Mr. Nefiodow is author of more than 90 publications. His newest book
„Der sechste Kondratieff. Wege zur Produktivität und Vollbeschäftigung
im Zeitalter der Information.“
(English: The sixth Kondratieff. Productivity and Full Employment in the
Information Age)
published first in 1996 in German, sixth edition in 2006,
is a key contribution to identify the next long economic upswing – the
sixth Kondratieff cycle – and to overcome the main global problems:
instable future, high unemployment and underemployment, health inflation,
inadequate economic growth, huge crime and disorder.
In his book Mr. Nefiodow introduced the theory of long waves as a new
method to predict future economic and societal development and
forecasted that human health in a holistic sense (physical, mental,
psychic, social, ecological, spiritual) will be the driving force of the
world market in the period 2000-2050. The countries, regions, companies
and individuals, that adjust best to the requirements of the new long
business cycle will be the winners in the 21st century.
